There is no question that 2022 has been a landmark year for AI technologies. First, OpenAI released its playground where anyone could experiment with all kinds of language exercises. For me, the most successful outcome was a prompt for creating multiple choice questions with a 100% success rate (this prompt is at the bottom of the page). Then Dall-e, which can create customized images was released. And only last week we got access to ChatGPT. I don’t want to explain. It’s better to give an example of what ChatGPT can do. At the top is the prompt. and below is the conversation it created instantly (no editing was involved).

This was instant. It’s extraordinary. Previously, I had to mess around for a while to create a useful dialogue. Ok, so maybe you want to produce customized materials, as I do, for a specific subject. I’m teaching pharmacy students, so I wanted to create a conversation in a pharmacy.

This is pretty amazing too. So, the only skill you need here is the ability to write good prompts.

1 What’s your house like?

This is an elementary exercise for describing houses and neighborhoods.
