Note: Zip file download of all exercises and the prompt templates for today’s exercises are in the paid subscriber section at the end of the post.

This post focuses on how ChatGPT-4 can be used to make charts, another great use of AI for creating customized content.

1 Hotel comparison exercises

I’ve mainly been making comparison charts, as in this example below.

2 Gig economy (advantages/disadvantages)

And there are many other possibilities, including advantages/ disadvantages charts. The screen shot below is for the advantages/disadvantages of gig economy jobs.

3 Small business comparison - cafes

Many of my students like to think about opening a cafe. So it’s a great topic for a business focused class.

4 Comparing (fictional) medications

It used be quite difficult preparing teaching materials for specialized medical topics. Now, it’s a lot easier. ChatGPT does quite a lot of the mental heavy lifting. The teacher just needs to proofread, edit and format exercises.

5 The Experiment: comparing cell organisms during an experiment

This is getting even more specialized. I would never have imagined I could create an exercise like this (without a lot of pain!!) even a year ago.

6 Online delivery services

This is always an engaging topic for today’s students.

7 Comparing products

This also usually goes down well with students.
