I think people who people subscribe to my newsletter are mainly looking for teaching materials. But I want to recommend the best tool I’ve found to assist me in teaching and creating teaching materials. This is such a recent development that I’m only in the exploratory phase. However, I’m constantly discovering things that amaze me.
If you don’t know, OpenAI is a private technology firm focused on artificial intelligence. Elon Musk was one of the founders, and Microsoft is a big investor. One thing I should stress about OpenAI is that it’s very cheap. I think I’m paying around $3 US per month and I use it everyday.
Today, in the paid subscriber section, I want to discuss using “prompts”. Prompts are instructions that you give to the AI program to get a desired result. But I’ve gradually realized that writing good prompts requires critical thinking and open mindedness. And once you find a good prompt, you’d better record it, as it is like a formula, that you may need again and again. Or you may be able to sell it! There are websites starting up that are selling AI prompts!
