From AI Prompts to AI Workflows
Redesigning the Fundamentals: Greetings & Introductions + Family Lessons: 25+
When you work with AI constantly, everything changes constantly. For example, since I can now create a wider variety of exercises more easily, I'm compiling my language learning contents into PDFs. It's essential to continually adapt to changing circumstances—and the content sections keep growing!"
Last year, prompts were all the rage. But if you work with AI consistently, you quickly realize that efficient workflows are just as crucial. AI enables you to accomplish more, but you constantly encounter obstacles and stumbling blocks. While some challenges can't be easily overcome, many can be resolved by creating systematic workflows. Every repetitive task should be documented and streamlined to eliminate future obstacles. I've included workflow tips for subscribers at the end of this post. This week also features audio crosswords—transforming traditional crosswords into dynamic listening activities. I've also expanded the exercises to accommodate multiple proficiency levels.
Intercultural Greetings and Introductions
Intercultural greetings and introductions form a fundamental module in language learning. Students need to master appropriate greetings whether they're meeting international classmates, collaborating with diverse colleagues, or traveling abroad. These lessons teach respectful communication across different cultures.
The audio crossword represents an innovative approach—students hear vocabulary while solving word puzzles, enhancing retention through multi-sensory learning. Most exercises include audio components, allowing students to practice listening and speaking simultaneously. We've redesigned this foundational topic to increase variety, boost engagement, and equip students with practical skills for real multicultural interactions.
Family Related Language and Vocabulary
Family relationships represent another fundamental module in language learning. Students need to describe their family situations accurately whether they're talking to new friends, completing forms, or explaining their background to colleagues. These lessons teach them how to discuss various family structures—from nuclear families to blended families with stepchildren to adoption stories.
The exercises help students navigate sensitive topics while building confidence in sharing their own experiences. This module follows the same comprehensive structure as the greetings section but focuses on the vocabulary and cultural nuances specific to family discussions.
