This set of exercises focuses on consumer experience and could be applied to various retail service environments. The target vocabulary in these exercises focuses on a specific set of terms related to consumer experience. It includes about 15-20 key words and phrases that describe different aspects of customer interactions with shopping environments, businesses and products. They're particularly useful for English language students interested in business, marketing, or customer service, providing practical vocabulary and concepts applicable to real-world consumer interactions. Although, the vocabulary may be a little challenging for elementary learners, the exercises are designed to be flexible enough to familiarize students with a useful set of vocabulary, while at the same time engaging more advanced learners.
The idea for this topic came from the The Daily Podcast about Tipping:
I intend to come back to this specific topic later but thought I’d focus on the more general topic of the consumer experience first.
As well as the exercises below, the download file at the end of the post includes pronunciation (Circle the Word, and Syllable Stress), "Which word is different?", Positive vs Negative Sorting, and personalized questions.
