The Era of Experimentation with Multimodal Learning
The Future of Work and Cybersecurity updates and Health, Fitness and Wellbeing Tracking exercises (11 in total)
Today's post includes more exercises that are essentially experiments with multimodal learning, utilizing different sensory modalities to enhance understanding. This is the essence of the exercises I try to create every week. For instance, the "Health and Wellness Linking Pronunciation Exercise" integrates listening and pronunciation, promoting auditory learning while reinforcing wellness vocabulary. The "Health and Fitness Visual Vocabulary" exercise pairs images with terms, catering to visual learners and reinforcing content through imagery. Other activities include elements such as word clouds and color coding to enhance the richness of the learner’s experience. These activities demonstrate how multimodal approaches engage learners in diverse, meaningful ways.
Note: also included with the download at the end of the post are Health, Fitness and Wellbeing Tracking exercises: a brainstorm exercise, a grammar role play (modals), a parts of speech worksheet, and personalized Q and A.
The Future of Work
I’m always interested in this ever evolving topic. After Amazon decided to force all its workers back to the office, I decided to update this critical thinking activity. This is compatible with the Hybrid Work Lesson and Variations of Remote Work .
Also, an exceptional podcast about this topic, "The office vs everyone else" (September 27 2024 ) can be found on Vox via the link below.
